Vancouver-based Clio hires two key execs to lead growth

Vancouver-based Clio, which states it is “the most comprehensive cloud-based practice management platform for the legal industry,” recently announced it raised a respectable $20 million, and also expanded their office space to Dublin, Ireland.

The $20 million investment be used to accelerate product development and sales, and fuel international expansion, including doubling its employee count to 200. Looks like Clio is pushing forward as they have hired two key executives to lead the growth.

Clio has hired Neil Shankman as its Vice President of Marketing, and Robert Froment as its Chief Financial Officer. Shankman was formerly leading the marketing efforts with Google Canada and was also a member of the global leadership team that created Google’s worldwide B2B strategy. Froment, a Chartered Accountant, was previously CFO at Cleankeys Inc., and will be “responsible for securing Clio’s financial well-being and ensuring healthy and sustained growth.”

Clio launched in 2009 and has legal professionals in 50 countries using the service. Offices are located in Vancouver, Toronto or Dublin.
