This year’s much talked-about GROW Conference will be held in Whistler, about a two hour drive north of Vancouver. As such it might be a bit difficult for some patrons to get to the big event.
1) Aside from driving yourself or renting a car, GROW is offering several free shuttles from either downtown Vancouver or YVR Airport on several dates.
Here they are:
- Tuesday, Aug 19 – 7:30 PM, Hyatt Regency, at the bus staging location on Melville St between the hotel and the Burrard Street Skytrain Station.
- Wednesday, Aug 20 – 9:00 AM, Hyatt Regency at the bus staging location on Melville St between the hotel and the Burrard Street Skytrain Station.
- Wednesday, Aug 20 – 10:00 AM, YVR Airport, International Arrivals, by the exit doors 10 minutes before departure. Next to the huge statues.
2) Alternatively, GrowLab, not affiliated with GROW Conference, will be offering a “Startup Bus” to Whistler for $15 one-way or $25 roundtrip. Both buses departing Vancouver leave from GrowLab.
Round trip option:
Wednesday, August 20th – Depart from YVR
8:30 AM – Pick-up at GrowLab
Friday, August 22nd
12:30 PM – Leave Whistler Village and return to GrowLab.
One-way trip option:
Wednesday, August 20th – Depart from YVR

3) Greyhound offers six daily trips per day to Whistler, commencing at 6:30 am, with a final trip leaving at 7 PM. A one-way trip goes for just $19 if you book online in “advanced fare”. Standard fare at the station is $27. Roundtrips can be purchased online for an advanced fare price of $38, while purchasing at the station will cost $48. Trips take varying amount of time between two and two and a half hours, depending on if it’s an express bus.
