Seevibes opens Toronto office, announces Franz Fontaine as VP of Strategic Development

FounderFuel Alum Seevibes, who has built a platform that measures social media reaction to television shows and events, has expanded its operations once again. The Montreal-based company was founded in 2011 by technology entrepreneur Laurent Maisonnave recently raised $1 million from Polytech Ventures, Real Ventures and Bryan Freeman.

Announced today, Seevibes has officially opened up a Toronto office “to consolidate its expansion.” The company currently analyzes over a billion social interactions every year and tracks 3000 TV programs and 500 brands worldwide. Clients in Canada includes Quebecor, Bell Media, Havas Media, Cossette and Netflix.

Franz Fontaine, VP strategic development, stated, “Toronto is a an innovation hub and also a bridgehead to the rest of Canada. From my experience the Toronto agencies and their clients have always been willing to test and try new strategies, such as Seevibes Social TV targeting solutions, which is the perfect market to launch National Campaigns using our Data.”

Laurent Maisonnave, CEO & Founder, said in a statement to us, “Toronto is important to us because not only our client and prospects have offices and headquarters here but as important, our key partners such as Twitter & Facebook. As we want to consolidate our expansion in Canada proximity is key.”
