Real Ventures invests $1.1 million into California-based atVenu

California-based atVenu speaks to the thousands of artist and organizers who are on the road touring and attempting to maximize their revenue through merchandise — such as t-shirts, hats, calendars, posters, CD’s. The company created atVenu Merch Manager platform, a web and mobile app that provides real time data and analytics so they can make the maximum amount of revenue at live events.

The company announced on their site that over 600 artists now use atVenu and they’ve been present at over 12,000 shows, subsequently managing over $52 million in merchandise and music sales in 2013. Very impressive stats and this also comes with a Canadian connection. atVenu has closed a $1.1 million investment from Montreal’s Real Ventures and the money will be used to expand the platform and build-out other features.

Finally, is also seems that atVenu is poised to takeoff as they’ve shed the private invitation and completely opened up the atVenu platform to all artists.
