Popular business social networking site LinkedIn launched in Canada in 2010 and the company recently announced that its surpassed 10 million users in our fine land. Overall, LinkedIn is home to over 300 million members globally. While Canada is a small slice in its pie, LinkedIn has identified the most active job markets and the skills most likely to get Canadians hired.
LinkedIn notes that if you have mobile app development skills and live in Calgary, then “you’ll be hired in no time.” Calgary has the highest rate of new hires in Canada, with 8.6% of Calgary-based members starting a new position in the last year. Toronto ranks second with 7.2%.
