Hootsuite hires Jimmy Duvall as Vice President of Product

Hootsuite has made an executive hire and brought on Jimmy Duvall as Vice President of Product. Duvall’s most recent position was head of product for Magento, an eBay company, and will be responsible for scaling the product team and managing Hootsuite’s expanding product suite.

Ryan Holmes, CEO of Hootsuite, said, “Jimmy’s experience in scaling product and design for high growth organizations is a huge asset to Hootsuite. We have plans to do big things in 2015 and I’m thrilled to have such a visionary product leader join us in bringing cutting-edge products to our 10 million global users.”

“Hootsuite is in an enviable market position with millions of users spanning over 175 countries,” says Duvall. “As social networks and social messages continue to proliferate, businesses need a core system to effectively manage social. Ryan’s strong vision combined with the company’s collaborative relationship with its customers is a winning formula for long-term success in this growing market. I look forward to the opportunity to further develop this vision for Hootsuite’s new offerings.”

Hootsuire recently raised $60 million from Accel Partners, Insight Venture Partners, and Silicon Valley Bank, which brought its total financing to $250 million (USD). In an interview with BetaKit a few weeks ago, Holmes stated that its social platform is currently powering 5 million organic messages a day an has 10 million users around the world.
