Google CFO Patrick Pichette happens to be a Montreal native, so he’s quite familiar with the perception that Canadians need to be in Silicon Valley to build businesses of value. In this interview clip with Rob Woodbridge of UNTETHER.tv, Pichette argues that while “Silicon Valley is a black hole,” Canada has the intellectual depth and infrastructure to succeed. Any limitations Canadian startups might face, Pichette says, are self-imposed.
