Moving forward often involves pulling up well-established roots. Having taken flight from the Vancouver startup community, Dónde’s cofounder and CEO Anthony Nicalo found a new home at Cincinnati’s Brandery accelerator. The move is proving to be an excellent decision and experience and now the team is excited to be launching an Enterprise Class Mobile Store Locator as a free service.

Dónde is a location as a service platform focusing on driving sales to brick and mortar retailers.. This is about helping digital marketers better understand the buying intent of their customers. By connecting website visits with other behaviours, businesses will uncover key insights regarding their online and offline marketing efforts.

“Currently, mobile searches generate 30 percent of all web traffic and of that traffic, 80 percent are searches for product locations,” says Nicalo, “Businesses who aren’t using mobile store locators are obviously missing out on a massive opportunity. We are launching this free service to show the impact mobile location services can have on a business along with the unique consumer marketing data it can provide to drive foot traffic and grow businesses intelligently.”

The service can be integrated on any web platform and is optimized for any mobile device. Its analytics dashboard gives its customers direct insight into the behaviour of mobile traffic, including:

  • Geographical data on customer trends

  • Whether a customer looked for directions or not

  • Popularity ranking of specific products (flavors, sizes, types, etc.)

  • Which stores were called directly from the website

  • Heat map showing growing areas of interest

  • Most popular keywords for searches (zip codes, cities, states, etc.)

The company also offers premium and custom solutions for brands looking to connect with their customers and drive traffic with contextual tools. Using the Dónde dashboard allows its customers to have complete visibility into the needs of their mobile visitors, including moving into new markets that show increased activity and interest.

“Dónde has provided us with a turnkey solution for both our retail locations and scheduling demonstrations at ballparks across the U.S,” said Kyle Schlegel, vice president of marketing at Louisville Slugger. “After seeing the success of the free locator, we found it necessary to upgrade to a second custom locator. We’ve been very impressed with the technology as our sales reps can access the custom locator to register attendees, making it easier to monitor our highest performers and of course, the impact it all has on the bottom line.”

I asked Nicalo why he decided to make the store locator free. He replied that  “our mission is to make it easy for people to find the things they want.
