CIX Names Its Top 20 Hottest Innovative Companies Ahead of Toronto Event

The Canadian Innovation Exchange (CIX), a yearly event seeking to bring together key leaders in the innovation economy to learn from one another, explore new relationships and accelerate the development of the ground-breaking technologies, has announced its “Top 20″ Hottest Innovative Companies.

Through an application process the CIX, which also holds smaller events throughout Canada during the year as well, named these 20 companies this morning:

Rithm (by MavenSay)- an app for sending your friends songs personalized with videos, photos and dancing emojis.

Busbud- a worldwide bus station, where travellers around the world can now easily search, compare and book their city-to-city bus tickets via Busbud.com and the free mobile application.

Smart Skin Technologies-  a state-of-the-art technology to measure line pressure in glass, can, PET, and many secondary and tertiary packaging lines.

Upverter-  the best place to share hardware design with friends, co-workers, classmates, and complete strangers.

360incentives.com Canada ULC- provides a highly flexible software as a service (SaaS) platform which enables manufacturers and distributors to create, measure and manage all of their incentives programs

Plotly- a collaborative data analysis and graphing tool

TruCentric Inc.- provides personalization software that enables brand marketers to turbo-charge their content marketing on the web.

Breather- an application for mobile phones as well as a network of rooms that startups and entrepreneurs can take advantage of any time.

Seamless Mobile Health- an award-winning technology company with a mobile platform to prevent hospital readmissions

LaunchPad- a startup leading a paradigm shift in mobile towards real-time, user driven experiences.

Bionym- is redefining identity for the connected world, making wearable identity devices that put the user in control of their identity.

Axonify- is revolutionizing the way organizations think about and deliver corporate learning.

CogniVue Corporation- provides a new class of embedded processor called an image cognition processor (ICP) core as well as tools and vision applications.

Procurify.com- aims to create enterprise software that is vastly different from the traditional enterprise approach.

OpenCare- a startup changing the face of healthcare. With a suite of online booking and CRM tools

SqueezeCMM- an easy-to-use tool that provides very useful audience and content performance insights.

Hubba- a startup building out the world’s richest, most comprehensive dataset of product information while capturing valuable insight on the relationships between brands, retailers and consumers.

eSentire- challenges legacy security approaches, combining behavior-based analytics, immediate mitigation and actionable intelligence on a 24x7x365 basis.

Next week’s event at the MaRS Discovery District in Toronto will happen on November 21, and features several “fireside chats”, keynote speeches, roundtable discussions and even groups of startups demoing their technology to investors and companies.
