A study by the Washington State University’s College of Business shows that Canada is amongst the top five countries in the world to launch a startup. Canada joins Hong Kong, Singapore, United States and Australia and the main reason given was due to Canada’s low cost of living and “highly educated workforce.”

Several startup communities have received high accolades over the past few months for producing innovative business, namely HIGHLINE, Communitech and MaRS. Notable Canadians impacting the world are Pebble, Thalmic Labs, Shopify and HootSuite. This infographhic was created to show the results.
